What is tallow and why is it used in skincare?

Tallow id a rendered form of beef far that has been used for generations in traditional skincare. It closely resembles the skin's natural oils, allowing it to absorb easily and support the skin barrier. Tallow is naturally rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K which help nourish and protect the skin.

Does tallow clog pores?

When used in small amounts, tallow is considered non-comedogenic doe many skin types. because it is similar to the skin's natural sebum, it absorbs well without sitting heavily on the skin.

Will tallow smell like beef?

No, properly rendered tallow has a very mild, neutral scent. Any aroma you notice comes from the natural ingredients which are herbs or essential oils added to the product - not tallow itself. 

Are your products safe for children or babies?

Some products are gentle enough for the whole family. However, products containing essential oils may not be suitable for very young children. Please review individual product descriptions and ingredients carefully. 

What ingredients do you use?

We use clean, thoughtfully selected ingredients such as beef tallow, botanical oils, herbal infusions and essential oils when appropriate. Each product's full ingredient list is clearly listed on its product page. 

Do you use essential oils or fragrances?

We do not use synthetic fragrances. As of now only 1 product contains an essential oil. We try to infused all our products with herbs. Unscented options are available for those who prefer fragrance free skincare. 

How do I use whipped tallow?

Apply a small amount to clean, dry skin and gently massage until absorbed. A little goes a long way. Whipped tallow can be used on face, hands, body and other dry areas.

How much product should I use?

Start with a pea-sized amount and add more only if needed. Our products are concentrated, so a small amount is usually sufficient. 

Can I use your products on my face?

Many customers use our products on their face with great results. If you have sensitive or acne-prone skin, we recommend starting with a small amount and performing a patch test.

How should i store my skincare products?

Store products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat. Because our products are made with natural ingredients, texture may change slightly in warmer temperatures- this is normal.

What is the shelf life of your products?

Most products are best used within 6-12 months. Refer ro individual products packaging for specific guidance.

Can texture or color change between batches?

Yes, because our products are homemade with natural ingredients, slight variations in color, texture or scent may occur from batch to batch. This does not affect quality or performance. 

Do i need to patch test?

Yes. We strongly recommend patch testing before using any new skincare product, especially if your have sensitive skin.

What if I have a skin reaction?

Discontinue use immediately if irritation occurs. Due to individual sensitivities, we are unable to odder refunds for skin reactions. Please contact us if you have any questions -We are happy to help.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

Due to personal nature of skincare products, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges once products have been opened or used. Please contact use with any issues,

What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number so we can make it right. 

How long does shipping take?

Orders are typically processed within 1-3 business days. Shipping times vary based on location. Tracking information will be provided once your order ships.

Are your products FDA approved?

Our products have not been evaluated by the FDA.

Do your products make medical claims?

No. Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Any information provided is for educational purpose only.
