Bovine & Co.

My name is Alexa, and I am married and a mama to four beautiful children. Motherhood has shaped me in the deepest ways. I've been a registered nurse for five years, but when we welcomed our third baby, our world changed after his diagnosis of Down syndrome. Not long after he was born, he underwent heart surgery, and his heart valve was repaired using biological tissue made from a bovine (cow) heart — a moment that stayed with us beyond the hospital walls. That season reshaped our priorities. I began working part time to be more present, and after welcoming our fourth baby, I stepped fully into life as a stay-at-home mom and began homeschooling our children. In that slower, more intentional season, my love for tallow-based products grew. We wanted simple, nourishing ingredients rooted in tradition — products that felt safe, comforting, and made with care. The name Bovine & Co. was chosen with purpose, honoring that chapter of our story and the healing that followed. Thank you for being here and supporting our family as we share this journey.
